Comedy night can help lift the autumn blues

A huge night of stand-up comedy is heading to Heywood with a fantastic line-up of established acts and rising stars guaranteed to keep the laughs coming all night long.

ACE Lips Comedy is delivering its latest line-up of laughs at the newly refurbished Civic on Saturday, October 3.

Among those delivering the laughs will be Jon Pearson. Jon is one of the UK circuit’s most-loved storytellers and is a Midlands Comedy Awards Best MC Winner and Leicester Comedy Festival award winner.

With tales based around his own life experiences, his anecdotes are relatable and certain to have people in hysterics

He will be joined by Charlie Lewis, a razor-sharp Mancunian one-liner specialist, with quick-witted humour, energetic delivery, and a touch of Northern mischief.

Charlie launched his comedy career two months before the Covid pandemic when his online offerings attracted more than 50 million views, making him a favourite on the comedy circuit when restrictions lifted.

Kate Robb is a Funny Women Awards Semi-Finalist whose clever writing and relatable material and observations on subjects including marriage and motherhood have quickly made her “one to watch” on the comedy circuit.

The line-up is completed by Peter Selwood, winner of the Liverpool Echo New Comedian of the Year and star of Comedy Central Live, ITV2 and BBC Radio 4.

He is another up-and-coming comedian, described as a “unique musical comedian with a brilliantly offbeat style”.
