Town hall is perfect setting for Rochdale’s first Steampunk festival

There was plenty of talent and creativity on display when Rochdale welcomed its first Steampunk festival.

Enthusiasts and performers brought alternative heritage and creativity to Rochdale Town Hall and Town Hall Square on Saturday with eccentric outfits and creations that helped brighten up a rainy day.

With fantastic costumes, stalls, musical performances, and vintage cars on display outside the town hall, there have been calls for the festival to become an annual event.

Mayor of Rochdale Cllr Faisal Rana shared: “A wonderful atmosphere filled Rochdale Town Hall and Town Hall Square as the Steampunk Festival brought a touch of Victorian imagination and creativity to the town.

“Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, performers and everyone who came along. A real pleasure to support this fantastic Rochdale event as Mayor of Rochdale.”
